The Ghana Black Stars are psyching themselves up ahead of Saturday’s match against Germany in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. The Black Stars’ captain, Asamoah Gyan says, “We have to regain our focus and not let nerves get the better of us.” According to the captain, Ghana lost their first Group G match against the USA because the they lacked focus. “We hope to be more focused in our next match. We’ve got time and we’re professionals,” he said.
Ghana’s mid-fielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has promised “we’ll fight to the death against Germany.” The Berlin-born Ghanaian international will be up against his own brother Jerome Boateng who plays for Germany, come Saturday.
Meanwhile, Kwadwo Asamoah has appealed to coach Kwesi Appiah to field him in a more attacking role for the clash against Germany. Kwadwo Asamoah told reporters he’s finding the role as a left back difficult. “I attack, try to dribble one-on-one and make crosses and shots; “I’m not a left back, he pleaded.
We wish the Ghana Black Stars all the best as they prepare for the very tough encounter with Germany on Saturday.
